From Dataloy Voyage Management System (VMS) version 3.24 we have extended our bunker functionality has been extended with a new web based module for bunker order management. Here you You can now register and track the status of a bunker requirement, that turns into an order, to having have it invoiced. 

The additions additional functionality also enables bunker management systems and agents to make full two-way integrations. Currently two Bunker Procurement Systems (BPS) has  have made integrations, and have been successfully tested: Clearlynx and World Fuel Service's BunkerLine. You can still add estimates on the port call level, by adding a an estimated bunker quantity and price. This These values will later be used as default values when registering the bunke bunker requirement or order.

Advantages are:

  • Makes it possible to enter two products (bunker requirements/order lines) at on the same port, without the need to add two bunker port calls.

  • Enables the users to run reports and statistics based on all the bunker orders, per port, per supplier, status etc.

  • Makes it easy to get a list of e.g all the future bunker requirements.

  • Makes it possible to quickly search and/or filter on all of the bunker orders by vessel, supplier, and port.

  • Possibilities Added support for integration with bunker procurement systems such as ClearLynx and World Fuel Services

You can still add bunkering estimates in the Booking and Operations module. This is where you are used accustomed to adding bunker quantities and prices. These will be used to estimate the voyage result until your bunker needs are materialisingmaterialised.

Add Bunker Quantity, Net Price and Extra Cost to have the Gross Price calculated.

This input will be used as default values when the actual requirement or order is created.

Creating a Bunker Requirement or Order

When the bunker estimate is materialising materialised and you need to start the process of procuring the bunkers you then create the requirement or order directly in Booking and Operation module. Select the port call in question, and either press the Create Bunker Order… button, or right-click and choose Create Bunker Order.

A new Create Bunker Order window will open where you can fill in some of the bunker order details.

To view all available fields click the ‘arrow’ .

In case estimate values has have been added on the port call, the system will default using the bunker type, quantity and price from the estimate.

In case you want to change some of the defaulted default values, click the bunker order line in the list of bunker order lines and you will be able to change the defaulted default value or other values on the bunker order line(s).

After you have clicked Confirm, the new bunker order will be added to the list with the status Requirement.
To view the newly created order you canclick the message that appares appears over the list of orders, saying that the order was successfully added.

Viewing Bunker Orders

To display the list of bunker requirements and orders for a port all call, locate the port call and either press the 'Bunker Order' button, or right-click and choose Bunker Orders.

If you want to see all Bunker Orders in the system, go to Modules → Bunker Management →  Bunker Management.

In In the Bunker Management module you can choose between two ways of options for viewing your bunker orders. 
In In the Bunker Orders tab your orders will be listed grouped by voyage and port, while in in the Bunker Requirements tab you will see all of your order lines across all vessels and ports. 
Lists in both tabs can be filtered and sorted in case you need to locate a specific bunker order.

Click on a bunker order in Bunker Orders tab if you need to see details or edit it. A panel will show on the right hand side of the screen including all details of for the bunker order.

Inside this so-called “drawer” you can perform certain workflow actions (Activate, Deactivate, Stem, Register Delivery and Cancel) in addition to maintain maintaining the details of the order and order lines.

You are able to customise the columns at in the Bunker Orders and the Bunker Requirements view.
Click the menu at the right hand corner and select/deselect the columns.
