Dataloy Distance Table

The Dataloy Distance Table Knowledge Base (DDT KB) is the main source of information and answers to queries and issues regarding the DDT. The Dataloy Distance Table is a simple, yet powerful, tool for calculating sailing routes and distances. It is available to both professional and non-commercial users. The DDT allows routing point/port name searches when building port rotations by name and map, alternative spellings/shortening of port names as well as usage of each routing point's unique code. Sailing routes are presented graphically, based on analysis of possible routing options.

  • The Dataloy Distance Table is highly acclaimed for its extensiveness and accuracy.
  • Currently the DDT holds more than 8,500 ports and maritime locations and more than 80,000 waypoints effectively contributing to the accuracy of a calculation.
  • The DDT also enables routing based on minimising sailing in Emission Controlled Areas (ECA) zones.
  • There are war risk/anti-piracy routing points available in high risk areas. The DDT is updated daily.
The number of waypoints is vital to the accuracy of voyage calculation.
