Extend Hire Period due to Offhire?

Question

During a hire, there are two rate intervals, the initial period at a lower rate, the latter at a higher. In case of offhire the contract stipulates that in case of offhire during the first period, the charterer can extend this period for the same amount of days the vessel is on offhire. This to ensure the charterer can still have the agreed amount days at a lower rate. How is this entered into Dataloy VMS? Can it be done automatically or must the period be manually extended?

Answer

Currently it is not possible to enter this automatically, the period must be manullay extended.
