How do I create a voyage which is only offhire, for example a yard period?

Answer

Voyages that are only offhire can be created in the VMS. Note: If the drydocking is to be charged to the Owner, go to Booking and Operations once the voyage has been frozen. Locate the vessel and voyage and add the offhire to the voyage.

To create a offhire voyage:

  1. Go to Modules > Voyage Estimate and create a new voyage charter.
  2. Remove the cargo row from the Cargo field.
  3. In the Ports field insert the dry dock port.
  4. Freeze the voyage.
  5. The voyage will be successfully frozen and also available in Booking and Operations.
