Short Description
The Preferences module holds information about the preferred behaviour of the VMS and enables the control, change and adjustment of account settings and various aspects of a user’s viewing and editing options/environment throughout the system. If preference settings are not set or modified, the default settings are used.
The preferences settings in Dataloy VMS are divided into three categories:
- System Level
- Business Unit Level
- User Level
Examples of preference settings are Days Extra in Port and Percent Extra at Sea (in the Voyage Estimate module the former defaults to days extra in port and the latter to per cent extra at sea).
Changes to set preferences are not recommended – to make changes – please contact Dataloy.
