Can a Vessel be Re-Categorised as LNG?

Question

Is it posible to change a vessel's vessel type to LNG? Will an LNG tab appear in the Vessel Administration module?

Answer

Yes. To re-classify a vessel from one type to another in the VMS, including LNG (Liquid Carrier). However - no LNG tab containing the specific input only relevant for LNG vessels will appear in the Vessel Administration tab. These tabs will only show in the Booking and Operations and in the Time Charter Contracts modules.

To re-categorise a vessel's vessel type to LNG:

  1. Add LNG as a vessel type in Master Data > Vessel Type.
  2. State the Vessel Category as Liquid Carrier.
  3. In the Vessel Administration module select/re-classify applicable vessel as LNG.
  4. Click Save. The vessel will automatically be re-classified as an LNG throughout the VMS.
