Add Dry Dock to Voyage as Offhire without Including it in the Total Voyage Calculation?

Question

If a dry dock is entered as a separate voyage, will it then be registered as offhire? Or is it possible to add it as part of an existing voyage but to have it registered as offhire ensuring that time, bunkers and ballast is not included in the total voyage calculation?

Answer

It is not necessary to enter a dry dock as a separate voyage to have it registered as offhire. To make it part of a "normal voyage" add the dry dock port at the end of the entered voyage. Also, remember to add an offhire record manually (it will NOT happen automatically).

To manually add an offhire record:

  1. Go to Modules > Booking and Operations > Booking and Operations. The Booking and Operations window will open.
  2. Click applicable vessel in the By Vessel Tab (left-hand field) - it will highlight - its details will display in the right-hand and lower fields.
  3. Click applicable voyage in the Voyage List tab - it will highlight and its details display.
  4. Click Offhire in the toolbar  - the Offhire pop-up will open.
  5. Add applicable offhire record to the voyage.
  6. Click Close. The pop-up will close and an offhire record is added to the voyage.
