Introduction
Dataloy require from all VMS clients that they have Dataloy VMS appointed & dedicated Application Responsibles and SuperUsers.
Application Responsible
All clients should have one Application Responsible (AR). If you are many users you might want to consider more than one. The AR's are Superusers of the VMS but also the contact point between the VMS users in the organization and Dataloy.
This person is very important for the efficiency in using the VMS. They need to be elected with great care and really want this position. They should be able to manage users and create a system internally that works for solving different user problems.
They are also the ones who will suggest improvements to Dataloy both system wise and other.
Super Users
Criteria:
The Dataloy VMS is a system that is such an important part of the working day for most of the users so the superuser/s should be very knowledgeable.
The superusers should be selected amongst its peers, so that he/she relatively easy understands the problems that the users might have. They could preferably be one of those whom people often calls for assistance already.
Local managers should be avoided, since they are often too busy and not always available. A Superuser should be someone who uses (is going to use) the VMS daily and is interested in getting the most out of the system.
Skills:
The superusers have to be more proficient in the Dataloy VMS than those they are going to support.
In addition to having above average computer skills, the superusers also ought to have skills in guiding others. Helping others carrying out their tasks instead of pushing the buttons for them is a basic principle for guiding people who struggle with computer systems.
IMPORTANT: If the client has several geographical locations we recommend that there is at least one Superuser at each location.
