A voyage charter (or Voyage Charter Party) can be defined as the hire contract for a vessel for one or a specified number of voyages to carry specified cargo/es at stipulated freight rates (or lumpsum) on agreed terms and conditions between designated load and discharge ports, port ranges or regions. |
The Voyage estimator enables an unlimited number of voyage charter calculations (or estimates) as to calculate and analyse potential profitability of voyages (compared to the cost of a vessel) without turning a calculation into an actual voyage. Several separate calculations for the same voyage can be performed, and maybe one selected for fixture. A voyage calculation can also be created based on an already entered Contract of Affreightment (COA). It is also possible to calculate for relets of cargoes.
