The Commodities section includes four levels of entering and categorising cargo ranging from basic overall group divisions into the more and more specific: Commodity Class, Commodity Group, Commodity and Sub Commodity. The Commodity Class is the most basic category dividing cargo into “overall groups”, for example, drybulk, wetbulk, agriculture products, etc. and can hold a set of commodity groups. Commodity Group is a subcategory of Commodity Class categorising cargo in more detail, for example, palm oil, coconut oil, grains, etc. and can hold a set of commodities. The next level is Commodity. This is the ONLY MANDATORY level to be completed when entering cargo information and further specifies , further specifying the cargo type, for example, palm nut oil, wheat, rye, etc. This is the ONLY MANDATORY level to be completed when entering cargo information. The final and most specified level is Sub Commodity - its purpose is to provide the most specified information regarding type of cargo for example, chemicals: 2.3-Butanediol, 2.3-Butylene glycol, etc.
