Vessel

  1. Go to Modules > Master Data > Vessel Administration. The Vessel Administration window will openopens.
  2. Click vessel to re-named in the left-hand menu tree. Its fields will display displays to the right.
  3. Click Rename. A separate pop-up will open:opens.



  4. Enter the new vessel name and click OK. The vessel has been renamed.
    Note: Renaming a vessel will also rename the vessel in terms of historical data, i.e. voyages conducted when the vessel carries a different name will in the VMS show under the new vessel name in reports and history. The old name/s are, however, stored in the Audit Log. No historical data is lost apart from the vessel name being changed.

Vessel

  1. Go to Modules > Master Data > Vessel Administration. The Vessel Administration window will openopens.
  2. There are three methods of locating a vessel:
    1. Click the View by Vessel Name folder in the left-hand menu tree. All vessels are indexed by name in alphabetical order.
    2. Click the View by Vessel Type folder in the left-hand menu tree. All vessels are indexed according to assigned vessel type (defined in the Vessel Type module).
    3. Click the search box located above the menu tree, enter the vessel name.
    4. Click Enter. The vessel will display displays in the menu tree.

  1. Go to Modules > Master Data > Vessel Administration. The Vessel Administration window will openopens.
  2. Click vessel to be edited in the left-hand menu tree. Its fields will display displays to the right.
  3. Edit as appropriate the fields displayed in the respective tabs in the lower right-hand field.
  4. Click Save.

  1. To softSoft-delete a vesselVessel:
    1. Go to Modules > Master Data > Vessel Administration. The Vessel Administration window will openopens.
    2. Click vessel to be soft-deleted in the left-hand menu tree. Its fields will display displays to the right.
    3. Click Delete. A pop-up will open opens asking to confirm deletion.
    4. Click Yes. The pop-up will close and the selected row is soft-deleted only - and moved to the Deleted tab.

  2. To undelete Undelete a vesselVessel:
    1. Go to Modules > Master Data > Vessel Administration. The Vessel Administration window will openopens.
    2. Go to the Deleted tab.
    3. Click the soft-deleted vessel to be restored.
    4. Click Undelete. The row will close and the restored vessel is moved from the Deleted tab.

  3. To permanently delete a vesselPermanently Delete a Vessel:
    1. Go to Modules > Master Data > Vessel Administration. The Vessel Administration window will openopens.
    2. Soft-delete the vessel to be permanently deleted.
    3. Click the Deleted tab.
    4. Click the vessel to be deleted - it will highlight.
    5. Click Delete Permanently. A pop-up will open opens asking to confirm deletion.
    6. Click Yes. The pop-up will close and the selected vessel delete.
