Companies
Short Description

A business unit can be defined as an segment of a business representing a specific function that does not necessarily match the legal entity structure, for example department, etc., whereas a company is a legal entity created to conduct business.

The Organisational Setup section includes the Business Units, Companies an Offices modules. The Business Units and Companies modules holds information about all business units and companies entered into the VMS. A minimum of one business unit and one company respectively is required before the system can be utilised. The Offices module holds office details data such as office code, office name, office contact details and contact persons, enabling users to link a specific office and contact person to a specific cargo was made and and invoice.

Note: If Business Units are linked to Companies in the Master Data General Administration, Business Units must be linked to ALL available Companies for the system to function and apply the data properly.
