A vessel on a voyage is on a long period time charter and is reporting in EUR, but the income is received in USD. The exchange rate has changed since the beginning of the voyage changed. Is there any way to reflect the changing exchange rate in the results for long period time charters?
Answer
The exchange rate used for the complete estimated hire income is the average exchange rate of what has so for been invoiced, i.e. a kind of “moving average”.
