Rename/Edit/Delete a User

Short Description

This chapter provides step-by-step instructions how to rename, search for, edit delete (soft- and permanently) and undelete a user in the User Administration module. User account management is performed by Administrators and/or Super-Users with full access to the system. This includes administration of permissions and access rights, adding/deleting a user, re-naming an account viewing and editing user profile information and group membership and creating/configuring/deleting user groups and roles.

Long Description

Edit a User Account (Including Re-Naming an Account)

  1. Go to Modules > System > User Administration. The User Administration window opens.

  2. Double-click All Users in the left-hand menu tree. The All Users fields displays to the right.

  3. In the upper right-hand field click the row of the user to be edited - it will highlight.
  4. Edit as appropriate the fields/list displayed in the respective tabs in the lower right-hand field.

  5. Click Save.

Delete/Undelete a User Account

  1. Soft-Delete a User:
    1. Go to Modules > System > User Administration. The User Administration window opens.
    2. Double-click All Users in the left-hand menu tree. The All Users fields displays to the right.
    3. In the upper right-hand field click the row of the user to be deleted - it will highlight.
    4. Click Delete. A pop-up opens asking to confirm deletion.
    5. Click Yes. The pop-up will close and the selected row is soft-deleted only - and moved to the Deleted tab.

  2. Undelete a User Account:
    1. Go to Modules > System > User Administration. The User Administration window opens.
    2. Double-click All Users in the left-hand menu tree. The All Users fields displays to the right.
    3. Go to the Deleted tab.
    4. Click the soft-deleted user row to be restored.
    5. Click Undelete. The row will move from the Deleted tab to the Active tab.

  3. Permanently Delete a User Account:
    1. Go to Modules > System > User Administration. The User Administration window opens.
    2. Double-click All Users in the left-hand menu tree. The All Users fields displays to the right.
    3. In the upper right-hand field click the row of the user to be deleted - it will highlight.
    4. Go to the Member of Group, Member of Business Unit and Legs tabs and uncheck all checked boxes.
    5. Click Save.
    6. Soft-delete the user to be permanently deleted.
    7. Click the Deleted tab. The Deleted tab and all soft-deleted users display.
    8. Click the row of the user to be deleted - it will highlight.
    9. Click Delete Permanently. A pop-up opens asking to confirm deletion.
    10. Click Yes. The pop-up will close and the selected row delete.
