How can columns be added/removed that are/are not visible by default in the different fields, tables and panels of the various VMS modules?

Step-by-step guide

In most of the Dataloy VMS modules the columns are so called "dynamic columns", i.e. they can be added/removed at user discretion in most of the system's tables, fields and panels, enabling a user to have sought type of columns and in what order. The addition/removal of columns is, however, on individual user basis ONLY, i.e. is NOT possible to change/add/delete columns and apply it to all of a company's Dataloy VMS users. Note: The dynamic columns feature is not supported in the Pending section of the Post Fixture modules Accounts Receiveble, Accounts Payable or Hire Payable. Also adding dynamic columns may impact the ability to save a voyage's progress in the Booking and Operations module. if this happens the column set-up must be returned to the defaukt column set-up.

To add/remove column/s:

To add a column:

  1. Right-click the column to have a column added beside it.
  2. From the drop-down menu select Add Column.
  3. Drill down through the opening menus until sought column name is located and selected.

    Example:



  4. A new column will be added to the right of the one initially right-clicked.
  5. Righ-click on the new column.
  6. Either
    1. select Save Column Setup from the drop-down menu that opens to save the current column selection or
    2. select Restore Default Column Setup to revert back to the default set-up.

To remove a colmn:

  1. Right-click the column to be removed.
  2. From the drop-down menu select Remove <column name>.
  3. The selected column will be removed.
  4. Righ-click on a column.
  5. Either
    1. select Save Column Setup from the drop-down menu that opens to save the current column selection or
    2. select Restore Default Column Setup to revert back to the default set-up.
