How to Delete a Voyage in Booking and Operations?

Question

How come voyages that are not supposed to be in the VMS any longer keep showing up in the Booking and Operations module? How can these voyages be removed?

Answer

The voyage/s show because it/they has/have not been unfrozen and deleted. To remove the voyage/s, unfreeze and delete. Note: When unfreezing a voyage it will still keep the initial, preliminary estimate. This is a feature to allows the option of potentially making changes and re-freezing a voyage. However, once DELETED a voyage CANNOT be restored.

To delete a frozen voyage:

  1. Go to Modules > Booking and Operations > Booking and Operations. The Booking and Operations window will open.
  2. Click applicable vessel in the By Vessel Tab (left-hand field) - it will highlight - it's details will display in the right-hand and lower fields.
  3. Go to the Voyage menu and from the drop-down select Unfreeze.
  4. The Un-freeze Voyage - Please Select an Option pop-up will open.
  5. Click Dispose operational/actual data and click OK. The pop-up will close.
  6. The voyage is unfrozen and deleted in one step.

To delete an unfrozen voyage:

  1. Go to Modules > Booking and Operations > Booking and Operations. The Booking and Operations window will open.
  2. Click applicable vessel in the By Vessel Tab (left-hand field) - it will highlight - it's details will display in the right-hand and lower fields.
  3. Go to the Voyage menu and from the drop-down select Delete.
  4. The voyage will be deleted.
