Minimum Quantity is the cargo quantity agreed in the Charter Party whereas Deadfreight the compensation payable by the Charterer to the Shipowner when the Charterer is unable to load the cargo quantity agreed in the Charter Party. The amount is the loss of freight equivalent to the unavailable cargo.
