Can Total Cargo Quantity be Split Equally Between Discharge Ports?
Question
In a laytime calculation for a voyage with two cargoes and three ports (one load port and two discharge ports), the quantity to be discharged at each discharge port is the same. How can the total quantity be split equally between the discharge ports?
Answer
Use the prorate function of the Laytime Calculations module by checking the Prorate box on each cargo and port it is to apply to. Once Recalculate is clicked, the total cargo quantity and laytime should be totalled up and split between the discharge ports. The fields of the % column of both cargoes’ loadport (Cargo Port field) should show 50% in each if it is the same charterer and charter party.
