Problem
An error message appears when trying to start the VMS. Why an how is this recified?
Solution
The error message will show when there is either an:
- inconsistency between the Java cache and the application files on the application server or
- an inconsistency between the Java cache version and the java version on the PC/terminal server.
This issue is usually rectified by following the steps below.
Note: If the error persists - or if the error message contains the message "Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to system Unsigned resource: [...]" - re-install JAVA (https://www.java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache.xml).

To rectify Clear the Java cache by following the steps below:
- Press Start.
- Select Run or type cmd in the Run/Search field.
- Press Enter.
- A command line pop-up opens.
- Enter javaws -uninstall and press Enter.
- Re-start Dataloy VMS.
