Budget Voyages with Non-USD Currency Generates Error

Budget Voyages with Non-USD Currency Generates Error

Problem

When creating a budget voyage using a trade template (port rotation) including a non-USD port cost Dataloy VMS generates an error message stating that there is no exchange rate for the selected currency. However, the exchange rate is entered accurately entered in Master Data for the latest Budget Version. How can this be fixed?

Solution

When a budget voyage is created, the exchange rate is created, it automatically by default receives the start date = 1 January. So, the exchange rate valid date must go back at least to start of the year for budgets. As a first step, check that the exchange rate's validity starts at 1 January. If it is valid from another date, change it to 1 January and try again. There should now be no issues. If the error persists, please contact Dataloy.
