Dataloy Distance Table (DDT) Error/Error Messages

Problem

The Dataloy Distance Table (DDT) in Dataloy VMS does not work. Either

  • a blank page is displayed or
  • The message: "Couldn't load plug-in" shows.
  • The following error message together with a statement that the browser has been disabled is displayed:

    java.lang.NullPointerException: null

       com.dataloy.components.gui.WebBrowserDataloy$1.run(WebBrowserDataloy.java:43)

       com.dataloy.components.errorhandling.CatchingRunnable.run(CatchingRunnable.java:41)

       com.dataloy.components.gui.actions.RunnableAction.actionPerformed(RunnableAction.java:133)

Solution

A specific version of Adobe Flash Player needs to be downloaded and installed:

To download and install:

  1. Either
    1. Running 3.16 or above: Install PPAPI version of Flash plugin: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/  (select the one with Chromium PPAPI)
    2. Pre 3.16: Download and install the Adobe Flash Player: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
  2. Re-start computer.
