Short Description
Terms in Dataloy VMS can be defined as texts written for a specific clause in a contract and can be viewed a template for adding standard terms against a contract. The terms are text based and together add up to a complete contract (or Charter Party (CP)).
The General Terms Configuration section includes the Terms and Term Type modules. The Terms module is where all terms and standard terms are defined and linked to a term type. The standard terms can be used repeatedly in multiple contracts, copied and modified. The Term Type module is used to categorise different types of terms, for example Recap, i.e. a short version of a user’s most important terms.
The information of both modules can be used when booking cargo (to indicate the terms of the applicable contract) in the Booking and Operations module.
