Question

Is it possible to change the order of two voyages, for example if they have been entered incorrectly and need to switch places?

Answer

Yes, this is possible. Dataloy VMS automatically orders voyages by start date. If the voyages display in incorrect order then the start date/s of one or more voyage/s is/are incorrect and need to be rectified. The voyages will then automatically re-order themselves.

To change voyage sequence/s:

  1. Go to Modules > Booking and Operations > Booking and Operations. The Booking and Operations window will open.
  2. Click applicable vessel in the By Vessel Tab (left-hand field) - it will highlight - it's details display will display in the right-hand and lower fields.

  3. In the right-hand Voyage List tab all the vessel's voyages are listed - the most recent by default at the top.

  4. In the Voyage List field click applicable voyage to change the start date for - it will highlight and its details display.

  5. Check Lock Start Date for the voyage to be the initial voyage.
  6. In the voyage's Start Date column field enter a date prior to the start date of the voyage with the earliest start date.
  7. Uncheck Lock Start Date.
  8. Change the voyage numbers.
    Note: Changing voyage numbers requires a small "workaround", for example: if the list is 1, 2, 3 - change 3 to 99, 2 to 3 and then 99 to 2.
