Cargo Fixture Cannot be Added to Scheduled Idle Voyage

Problem

No cargo fixture has been entered and cannot be entered (and therefore also no cargo details) to a scheduled, idle voyage.

Solution

The voyage has been scheduled without a fixture to allow operations to work with a vessel which is idle. To add a cargo/cargoes the voyage must be un-frozen whilst keeping all operational data, the cargo/es added and the re-frozen.  

To do so:

  1. Go to Modules > Booking and Operations > Booking and Operations.
  2. The Booking and Operations window will open.
  3. Select applicable vessel - its details will display.
  4. Go to the Voyage menu and from the drop-down select Un-freeze.

  5. The Un-freeze Voyage - Please Select an Option pop-up will open.

  6. Click Keep operational/actual data and click OK.
  7. The pop-up will close. The voyage is once again an estimate but with operational data.
  8. Open the Voyage Estimate module and then applicable voyage.
  9. In the Port Rotation field select the Insert > After in the toolbar and add applicable load and discharge port/s.
  10. In the Cargoes field click Add in the toolbar. A new empty cargo row will display and and in the Main calculation field (left-hand field) the cargo panel will also empty.
  11. Enter the cargo and cargo details.
  12. Go to the Voyage menu and from the drop-down select Freeze... to re-freeze the voyage.
