Port Location Code Missing/Differs in Dataloy Distance Table (DDT)

Problem

A port's location code is missing in the Dataloy Distance Table (DDT) or differs from the official UNLOCODE issued by the UNECE.

Solution

A location code in the Dataloy Distance Table (DDT) should reflect the official UNLOCODE issued by the UNECE.  If a code is missing it is either because the port does not have an official code and/or the code used in the DDT has not been updated after a code has been issued by the UNECE.

To correct this the DDT needs to be updated. Please send an e-mail to support@dataloy.com with the port name and, if available, the UNLOCODE. Dataloy will update the DDT according to the official UNLOCODE. The port location code should then match the official UNLOCODE. If the port does not have an official code, Dataloy will link the port to the nearest port within the same country with an official code. That all ports have an official code is required for example by some customes systems.

Once the update is performed it is available to implement by following the step-by-step instructions at VMS > Modules > Systems > Update Dataloy Distance Table.
